The British Abrasives Federation
To help keep trainers and operators of abrasive wheels safe and up-to-date with the rapidly changing demands of Health and Safety Regulations, Photo Visuals has completely revised its popular training video entitled - Abrasive Wheels and their use with hand held cutting-off machines and angle grinders.
The video incorporates many new health and safety features and is essential viewing. It is invaluable as a training aid to support courses in the safe mounting and use of abrasive wheels, at the same time promoting a better understanding of petrol, electric and pneumatic tools and the potential dangers.
The programme, which has a running time of approximately 40 minutes, is divided into 5 separate sections so that training can easily be delivered to suit individual requirements.
Since Photo Visuals released their first video on hand held machines in 1992, many new safety regulations, standards and working practices have been introduced to help ensure their safe operation. The new video encompasses all these aspects including potential problem areas such as hand-arm vibration syndrome, dust suppression, current legislation and wheel markings.
Cutting and grinding machines, which are used on a wide variety of materials - from plastic to steel - are hazardous pieces of equipment if incorrectly used. Proper training remains a legal requirement and the scope of those who need to be trained is wider than ever. This new abrasive wheels training video has been approved by The British Abrasives Federation who are seeking to raise standards by highlighting the need for accurate and consistent training.
The new package, which includes the video and comprehensive notes booklet, is priced at £299 plus VAT, available direct from
